About the Venturesomes
Artur & Michelle — and how this got started.
In 2022 we sold the apartment, packed two backpacks, and left.
We are Artur (a Brazilian engineer who got bored of engineering) and Michelle (a German storyteller who got bored of one country).
Four years later, we have not stopped. We travel slowly — usually three to six weeks in one place, sometimes longer. We pay for our own rooms, our own food, our own bad bus rides. We do not do sponsored stays, we do not do press trips, and we do not write about anywhere we have not personally been.
This blog is the field notebook we wished existed when we started: dated, verified, written for a friend, not for the algorithm.
